What is Covered?

Our Fingerlakes Metal roofing panels finished with Sherwin-Williams WeatherXL™ and WeatherXL™ Crinkle coatings include long-term guarantees against the most common forms of environmental wear:

  • 40-Year Adhesion: Warranted against cracking, flaking, or peeling for 40 years from the date of application.
  • 30-Year Fade Resistance: Guaranteed to maintain its original architectural color and resist significant fading for 30 years from the date of installation.
  • 30-Year Chalk Protection: Warranted for 30 years against “chalking”—the white, powdery oxidation that occurs when lower-quality finishes break down over time.

Warranty Guidelines

To ensure your 40-year protection remains in full effect, the following manufacturer conditions apply:

  • Location Requirements: Coverage applies to structures located more than 1,500 feet from a salt-water environment.
  • Maintenance: Panels must be kept free of standing water and contact with animals or animal waste.
  • Original Ownership: This warranty is provided to the original owner and terminates upon a change in ownership.
  • Claim Window: Claims must be submitted in writing within 15 days of discovering a warranty condition.
